With careful considerations with my school I have chose to do a sandwich drive.


The effectiveness of this project is a sandwich drive is a community initiative to provide food for those in need. It helps feed people who are hungry and do not have access to regular meals. It Builds community by creating awareness about food insecurity. Sandwich drives encourages charitable giving and encourages people to donate and help those in need. It helps people understand the challenges faced by those who don’t have food. Sandwich drive can be a positive impact on the community by providing food for those in need. The effectiveness on the school it makes learners aware of the impact and of the sandwich drive and how they can help the community around them.


Service learning has changed me personally as service learning promotes personal growth by providing opportunities for self-reflection, self-opportunities and personal growth. It help interpersonal development such as communication, leadership and teamwork. Service learning has changed me personally by providing me with academic learning opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, Critical thinking by analyzing complex social issues and develop situations and career development develop skills and experiences.



It has developed me professionally by allowing service learning can provide valuable experiences and skills that can help develop a person professionally. Develop transferable skills, builds professional network, enhances resume, provides career exploration and increases marketability. Service learning can provide valuable experiences and skills that can help develop you professionally. Skills such as leadership, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, organizing and thinking in different complex situations.


I have gained workplace skills, by networking and public speaking, critical thinking by analyzing complex situations, civic engagement increase in my sense of social responsibility, Career development skills and new experiences, Cultural competence diverse communities and different perspectives. Some skills and attitudes I have gained are Self-discovery, communication, teamwork, self-reflection and leadership.

The benefit of the sandwich drive was to provide food for the homeless who doesn’t have food, the school was more then wiling to help especially the children’s parents. The sustainable choices such as the environmental benefits of sandwiches and recycling or fibers, Education provides an opportunity to educate people of their choices and how to reduce food waste.


In summary, participating in a sandwich drive can have a significant impact on individuals, communities, and society as a whole. It helps address food insecurity, fosters community engagement, raises awareness, teaches empathy and compassion, and inspires further action to address social issues.
